Conclusion

Paulsen (1995) wrote about Many-to-many Techniques that a characteristic of this techniques "is that all participants have the opportunity to take part in the interaction". Therefore this is the online teaching techniques that I prefer. I think that, using the CMC, Many-to-many Techniques can promote collaborative and cooperative work and helps teachers in their workload, as Professor Morten Paulsen said in the one-question-interview, made by Monica Velosa - Activity 2, Unit 2:
"I am especially fond of however many-to-many techniques for two reasons. Firstly, they often generate a lot of cooperative work which I like so much, and secondly, they can reduse the teacher workload to a resonable level."
So, to secure a reasonable workload for online teachers, the best strategy is to choose the techniques that will guarantee, in accordance with the objectives of the course, the quality of learning so that there is a balance between the students's work and the teachers's work .
About the implications of using individual and group assignments in online education, I am not very sure about this question. On a first reading, the answer is simple: if the work is individual, the assessment should be individual. If the task is to group the assessment should be equal for each group element .
However, since we are working with the cooperative concept of freedom, now I understand the insistence of Professor Paulsen, in forums, asking us to think about developing a peer assessment. We may be able to do so with the learning object created by Monica Velosa and Sandra Brás - Evaluation Form. Using this tool we propose grades for our colleagues. That could be a solution if we are talking about a learning community, based on cooperative freedom.
